Personally if it were me:
If you have someone reliable out there (I don't mean with POA) then I would put my own sign up with phone number and get `friend` to pass info back to you.

I know of several that have sold with own advertising. The Turks are nosey gits and word soon gets around.

A lot depends on what you paid, what you expect to get and what it is worth.

Selling is as much a minefield as buying.Just about everyone on TLF has been through it.Click on the search button at the top of the page and all the info you need is there.Good luck.

We put our up with Jayne at Spotblue in Altinkum, very reputable company and really felt happy with them holiding our keys and had NO problems at all, but in the end we sold privately through word of mouth,

Good luck with the sale,

Hi Indiana and welcome to the forum. As the majority of properties now being purchased in resort locations are by the Turkish, I would advise that whatever method you chose, it is targeted at the local as well as overseas buyers.

Also, I think it would be a good idea to make a visit here first in order to get acquainted with market conditions etc. and you could have a holiday as well.

Good luck!

Days On The Beach in Side
#8
I had been trying to sell my villa in Side, Turkey for 2 years and it was registered with all the emlaks (estate agents) in Side too but no luck .... until I was in a bar one night and talking to my friends about the apartment and one of the English waitresses overheard me. She came to see it the very next day and bought it the following week. Result!

I am now trying to sell an apartment in Side which has 2-bedrooms and 2-balconies and comes with all the furniture included for £40,000. It's on the first floor in a block of 6 and overlooks the big communal swimming pool with views of the Taurus Mountains in the distance. The beach is just a 10-minute walk down the hill ... bars, shops and restaurants are even closer. Side has the 2nd longest sandy beach in all of Turkey and now that the promenade has been extended, it is the longest promenade in the whole of the Mediterranean. See pictures here ... https://www.2ndhomeoverseas.com/properties/apartment-turkey-15034/ ... Best wishes and God bless you, Angela x

Advertise it on here first would be my advice, try & deal "in house" so to speak.

Fair warning to all. What was a good company out there today can be something else on the morrow & in many cases not down to the company itself. Things do go wrong because its the nature of the beast.
A good lawyer I can recommend in Didim but an estate agent........no. Lawyers are bound by their code, estate agents are not, yes they have rules but its usually agents that go missing, not lawyers.

Looks like you must be working with them on a commission basis

Spot Blue has an office in Turkey and cover many areas.

They have quiet a few properties for sale on Rightmove.

Please feel free to PM me for any further info. I have involvement with them

Thanks
Darren
I really can't understand if you have her contact details why you don't provide them through this forum unless you are working with them on a commission basis

This conflict of interest may influence their posts. If you fall into this category please state clearly your position. You must also include this information as part of your profile signature. Hardly. Just that I read so many people in Turkey having issues with estate agents ripping sellers & purchasers off that I would say as I found.
Never had, nor would take any form of payment for a recommendation etc. One it's immoral & two I don't need too, but thanks for your reply

I have just used Spot Blue Estate Agency & I couldn't recommend them highly enough
They went over and above my expectations and took me to the tax office, photographers, Notre and even shopping for furniture.

You have no problem publishing her contact details then and it was yourself that posted "I have involvement with them"

Apologies that was clearly a typo as I have NO involvement with them.
If you care to look on the start of this post then you will clearly see someone else recommending Jayne from Spot Blue

I know plenty of nice people in Turkey, some of which deal in property. I still don't think people on here or elsewhere grasp what they're actually dealing with. To put your property or cash in control of a third party MUST not only be done with care but caution.
Nice office, nice car, picked up from the airport is peanuts when tens of thousands of £s are involved...........
Yeah buying & selling has worked well for most but I only stress to all, what worked yesterday may not work today. I'm not preaching doom & gloom, just telling people how it is or can be.

Words fail me on your persual of this, especially when I apologised for the typo and denial of any interest in Spot Blue or thier employees

I thought this forum was to assist people with knowledge as opposed to other agendas

I refuse to comment any further on this matter as it is somewhat boring and keyboard warriors bore me

Good Post 35pluschips
How many people have purchased an item off the internet based on reviews only to find out that the product is rubbish and most of the reviewers were either paid or provided gifts in lieu of providing a positive review

For the op here are some other TLF members views
That article came from the estate agaents Spot Blue - it says it at the bottom.

Source: Spot Blue

In fact, I guessed Spot Blue had written the article before I even checked it!

You can take that article with ten trucks of salt - and more!

Spot Blue are getting DESPERATE to offload their OVERPRICED properties. Check out their properties next to other agents, and you'll see Spot Blue add about 20% to the asking price ! Much of the property they do is off-plan, and some of the figures they ask for a very ordinary property, in avery ordinary resort, would be hilarious if it wasn't so outrageous the way they try to pull a fast one.

This sly manipulative report of theirs to try and encourage unaware people to buy a vastly overpriced property - so they can line their own pockets - is despicable!

They must think everyone is stupid!
Ive seen the same propertys for sale on as many as 3 different agents sites all at different prices and they can vary by 30k or even more. the worse one for hiking the price is spot blue. they are a rip off. haveing your property advertised at hugely diffrent prices on different sites does you no favors at all. it puts buyers off. people get suspicous and wonder why the different prices so those agents should be told to bogger off. at end of day you can ask whatever you want but a property is only worth what someine will pay you for it and thats why you see some places advertised for over 2 years!! and still no buyers. turks seem to think the answer to that is to raise the price :loony: but those propertys are just standing there loosing more money every month.

as we all know a property is only woth what someone is willing to pay for it, you can ask as much as you like but all it means is it wont sell and will devalue even more.
The only dealings we have had with Spot Blue was from a buyers aspect. We viewed a property with them (Alanya region) that we had already viewed with another agent, the other agent quoted us 56,000 Euros fully furnished & all white goods.
Spot Blue quoted us 18,000 Euros more with no furniture & white goods.
Needless to say we bought through the original agents.

I know this is the opposite end of the scale as you are looking to sell but thought I'd just let you know of
