Hi Holly,
I live in Dalyan, live on my own, and am happy to offer any info I can help with. So much depends on your own particular life style- if you are willing to share any specifics as to how you envision your life here, I can give some possible costs. Things like: do you have, or will you be getting pets, are you planning to get a car, how old you are (that determines health insurance costs), do you smoke, what type of foods do you plan on eating, do you regularly plan to go out for meals, or socialize at quizzes or bars? So many variables, depending on your wants and needs. I have single friens who spend 2 or 3 times what I do monthly, and I have friends who spend less than me! If you send me an email address, I will put some info together for you over the next week.
You've made a good choice with Dalyan.

Hi I'm new to this website. Can some one explain what it's about please and how maybe it will be useful for when I move to turkey. Thank you
nedwin, every where I go I seem to be seeing your name, you have been a member here long enough now, don't you think it's time to join in?
Hi, my name is Martin, I have in the past been a little disturbed by some comments you have written on this forum, and because of this I have made a few sarcastic/unpleasant remarks about you or your comments, having had the fact pointed out to me that you suffer a degree of autism, I accept that I am in the wrong, and therefore offer my sincere apologies, I wish you well, I will in due course post on the forum the fact that I have indeed contacted you and apologised.
regards Martin
Charlotte....I just thought I would update you. After much research we decided to go for a jacuzzi NOT a swimming pool. It is now built but unfortunately the builder did not explain that we'd need a 3-phase electric supply (we only had two phase) and that requires an application. That is now done and approved and we are waiting for the box to be changed. It's 12-seater jacuzzi that can be used in winter too.

Hi Ipek,

Sorry about the delay, something went wrong with my messages. I did see it, then it disappeared and I did not know who sent it, or how to reply. I assume that you have had the cataract sorted by now. If not please let me know. I hope that all went well. Best Regards Ibo
Can anyone help me , do I need to register my appartment if the authority's if I only let my family and close friend stay there , free of charge
Hi Ranger. Your post about satellite is the most comprehensive I've ever found about satellite in Turkey. I've got digiturk at my apartment in Side, Antalya but sick of paying the subscription especially while rentals are down. The internet on our complex is too poor to support streaming devices. Have you ever tried a FTA zgemma box over there? I've bought one to try, just wondering if there's any additional advice you could give me about positioning dishes etc. You're obviously clued up. Ta, Gaz
